Having a painting made on commission is a very special and personal process. Based on your ideas, I will work carefully in my studio to achieve the best artistic result.
How does it work?
1. No-obligation consultation
Everything starts with your idea. We discuss your wishes regarding the subject, atmosphere, color palette, and the desired size. This can be done via email, over the phone, or at my studio on Texel.
2. Quote & concept
Once we agree on the artistic direction and the general terms of the artwork, you will receive a quote and I will record our agreements in writing.
3. The painting process in the studio
Afterwards, I retreat to my studio to bring the painting to life. To maintain artistic focus and protect the development of the piece, this process takes place behind closed doors.
4. The reveal & handover
When the painting is fully finished and dried, the best moment follows: the reveal. You are warmly welcome to admire the finished artwork for the first time live in the studio and take it with you. For smaller artworks, shipping is also possible.

After approval of the quote, I request a deposit. The amount depends on the total price of the painting. You pay the remaining balance once the painting is completed.
